Food for Thought

Old Bull Tavern:

One of Greg and Carolyn's favorite date night spots in Beaufort. Enjoy a varied menu with some of the best cocktails in town. Greg's favorite, the New Fashioned. Carolyn's favorite, the Parker Posey. Reservations are strongly recommended.

Lady's Island Dockside:

Enjoy some great seafood while in the Lowcountry. Reservations are not accepted, so please plan accordingly.

Fish Camp on 11th Street:

Another great seafood spot right on the water in Port Royal. Reservations are strongly recommended. If there is a wait, check out Greg and Carolyn's engagement spot next door at the Shell Ring Ale Works while you wait.

Shell Ring Ale Works:

This is hands down Carolyn and Greg's favorite spot. We've shared many dates, laughs, conversations and, yes, beers here. It is also the place we got engaged in the waterfront biergarten; there's something for everyone here, we hope you take the time to enjoy this special place!

Magnolia Cafe:

Enjoy this great breakfast and lunch spot. Along the water with plenty of live oaks and Spanish moss.

Blackstone's Cafe:

A popular breakfast and lunch spot in the heart of downtown Beaufort that has been around since 1991.

Lowcountry Produce Market & Cafe:

Enjoy another local breakfast spot in downtown Beaufort. There is usually a line, so please be ready to wait!

Outdoor Pursuits

Hunting Island State Park: 18 miles from Beaufort

Enjoy one of Greg and Carolyn's favorite spots in the Lowcountry! The park has great beaches, sea turtles, sand dollars, and trails. Be prepared to pay admission fees.

Port Royal Sound Foundation Maritime Center:

Educational center about conserving the Port Royal Sound which includes exhibits, live animals and hands on educational activities. Admission is free, donations appreciated.

Port Royal Cypress Wetlands:

Explore the .56 miles of trails and boardwalk through Port Royal Wetlands and wooden amphitheater. Be prepared to see much wild life to include alligators, turtles, and birds to name a few.

Spanish Moss Trail:

Looking for a walking or running trail? Explore Greg's favorite place to run while we lived in Beaufort. Dare you to take one of his Strava segments or KOMs if you can...
