Carolyn Rose Darr and Gregory James Grosicki’s love story began at a brewery (okay, they technically met online first, but the brewery was where the sparks really flew). Despite
Carolyn playing hard to get, thanks to her travels and an untimely bout with COVID, their story truly took flight in Savannah. Carolyn’s challenge for Greg to showcase the
city’s top breweries proved irresistible. Impressed by her willingness to drive an hour after work for a beer (or two), Greg was quickly smitten.
Their bond strengthened rapidly, with Greg soon setting up a "home office" in Carolyn’s Beaufort home. Their shared adventures took them across the U.S., from California to Vermont and Pennsylvania, attending weddings—two officiated by Greg— and always finding time for two of their favorite activities, hiking and exploring local breweries.
The proposal at Shellring Brewery in Beaufort on December 30 was an intimate moment, with Greg catching Carolyn completely by surprise. The site of their countless dates now marked their commitment to each other. After the proposal, they were joined by family and friends, including matron of honor, Kiersten Olsen, who traveled from Pennsylvania to celebrate their engagement.
The excitement didn’t stop there; while at Disney World with Greg’s daughter, Grace, they embraced a new beginning by buying a house in Bluffton, SC. This happened amidst Greg’s regular commutes to Boston, showcasing their commitment and resilience.
Carolyn and Greg are thrilled to invite you to their wedding on April 26th, 2025, at Spring Island, SC, a place rich with shared memories. Here, they’ve enjoyed numerous days hiking the trails and relaxing with their Australian Shepherd, Baloo, and their beloved family members. The day promises to be a beautiful celebration in the stunning low country, marking another memorable chapter in their adventurous love story.
